Conference Theme and Program Tracks

Conference Theme

Connecting Issues and People is the theme for Health Human Resources 2007. Bringing together key HHR stakeholders from across the health system, this conference aims to:

  • Develop a platform to strengthen relationships with key groups who have a vested interest in HHR research, management and planning;
  • Showcase the HHR work of provincial, territorial and federal ministries of health;
  • Showcase initiatives on HHR planning “in the trenches” at the national, provincial, regional and local levels;
  • Highlight how HHR data are used in current research, planning, management and knowledge translation;
  • Showcase work from researchers in HHR knowledge translation and exchange;
  • Highlight the state of HHR data—“where it’s at” and future directions—and identify gaps, common issues and challenges; and
  • Examine the interconnections between key HHR stakeholder groups to raise awareness of interdependencies (transforming data into information and knowledge).
